Research stay of Aida Cameselle

A stay of three months of the student Aida Cameselle, from the EPFL (Switzerland) has concluded on May 31th. Her work has focused on the study of 3D crack propagation in GFRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Plates) using cohesive elements in FE simulations. She has been working under supervision of Dr.  J. Renart and A. Turon and points out that she has enjoyed working in AMADE “where everyone is willing to help and collaborate” and where she could receive support from “the great number of expert members in the group, providing a solid background in many different fields regarding composite and structural research.”
