The project counts with the participation of 11 entities from 8 different countries. The coordinator is the \u201cAsociaci\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n Metal\u00fargica del Noroeste (AIMEN)\u201d from Spain. The project got officially launched with a Kick off meeting at the AIMEN Technological Centre on the 9<sup>th<\/sup> and 10<sup>th<\/sup> May 2022 in Vigo, Spain, where different partners introduced themselves and also defined the primary tasks for the first six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the context of the project, the aircraft industry is a very complex value chain involving a wide variety of stakeholders which interact in many stages of the aircraft lifecycle (design, production engineering, manufacturing, assembly, etc.), and any change in design or production stages has a direct impact downstream. To tackle the challenge of starting to introduce disruptive aircraft configurations by 2035, it is of utmost importance to prepare this key EU industry to face the required transformation in a holistic and integrated manner. CAELESTIS main objective is to enable the EU aircraft industry to design and manufacture disruptive aircraft structures and engines with enhanced prediction capacities (product performance and manufacturability), to widen the design space and reduce the uncertainties potentially encountered along the product and engineering lifecycle, which are currently limiting their introduction into service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information about the project: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/showcase\/caelestis-eu\/\">https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/showcase\/caelestis-eu\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project, under the grant agreement number is 101056886, has been funded by the Horizon Europe Framework Programme within the topic \u201cNext generation digital aircraft transformation in design, manufacturing, integration and maintenance\u201d (HORIZON-CL5-2021-D5-01-06) of the call \u201cClean and competitive solutions for all transport modes\u201d.<br>\u2018<strong><em>Funded by the European Union.
