The program was designed to provide a combination of academic, technical, and cultural experiences for 20<strong> EMJM FRP++ students<\/strong> and the <strong>FRP++ board and staff members<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the week, FRP++ students defended Assignment 1 of unit FRP++ 6. Additionally, participants visited leading industrial companies, including <strong>Menzolit<\/strong> in Granollers and <strong>Compoxi<\/strong>, located at the University of Girona\u2019s Science and Technology Park. These practical activities were complemented by theoretical sessions and a visit to the <strong>AMADE-UdG laboratories<\/strong>, allowing students to engage with cutting-edge research in mechanics, materials, and structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final day featured two <strong>keynote lectures<\/strong> delivered by distinguished experts in the field of composite materials, offering exclusive insights into current topics and future trends. <strong>Dr. Iryna Tretiak<\/strong> from the University of Bristol presented the lecture <em>\u201cTransforming Composite Manufacturing Using AI\u201d<\/em>, while <strong>Dr. Paolo Carraro<\/strong> from the University of Padova delivered the talk <em>\u201cFatigue Damage in Composite Materials: Observations and Modelling Approaches.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the academic and technical program, the week included <strong>social events<\/strong>, such as a formal dinner with all students, professors and staff members, and a <strong>guided tour of Girona\u2019s historic city center<\/strong>, allowing participants to explore the city\u2019s rich heritage and unique charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizing committee, which made this week possible, included: <strong>Cristina Barris (UdG), Bruno Castani\u00e9 (INSA\/UT), Lu\u00eds Correia (UMinho), Marco Di Ludovico (UNINA), Jos\u00e9 Sena-Cruz (UMinho), and Andrea Prota (UNINA).<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Within the framework of the EMJM \u201cAdvanced Structural Analysis and Design using Composite Materials\u201d, FRP++, this year, the Integration Week was organized by the University of Girona, taking place from 24 to 28 November 2025.
