{"id":26,"date":"2021-04-12T15:55:52","date_gmt":"2021-04-12T15:55:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/demo.qodeinteractive.com\/bridge24\/?p=26"},"modified":"2021-11-02T12:52:09","modified_gmt":"2021-11-02T12:52:09","slug":"virtual-international-week-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amade.udg.edu\/index.php\/2021\/04\/12\/virtual-international-week-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"VIRTUAL INTERNATIONAL WEEK 2021: SUSTAINABILITY IN ROAD AND BUILT CONSTRUCTION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>The Polytechnic School of the University of Girona (UdG) has co-organized the \u201cVirtual International Week 2021: Sustainability in Road and Built Construction\u201d, which was held from Monday 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to Friday 12<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of March 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The Consortium was made up by the University of Antwerp (Belgium), the University of Minho (Portugal), the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (Portugal) and the UdG. During the International Week 2021, different lectures were given, and professors and undergraduate students from these universities had the opportunity to join international work teams focused on a variety of topics related to sustainability in road and built construction.<\/p>\n<p>The students of the different international work teams gave an overview of the corresponding topics, worked on a project and presented their preliminary results by an oral presentation on Friday, March 12, 2021. Finally, each project team submitted a written report and an oral presentation Wednesday, March 30, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>From AMADE research group, Dr. Cristina Barris gave a lecture entitled \u201cComposite materials for construction applications\u201d and leaded the work team \u201cInvestigation on sustainability of FRPs in reinforced concrete structures\u201d work team.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The term minimalism is also used to describe a trend in design and architecture where in the subject is reduced to its necessary elements. Minimalist design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture.
