PHD THESIS: Bond behaviour between CFRP and concrete for NSM systems under sustained loading

Javir Gómez Colom defended his PhD thesis on January 14, 2022, advised by Dr. Cristina Barris Peña.

The PhD thesis has been conducted within the framework of the project “Extensión de la vida útil mediante refuerzo con FRP de estructuras de hormigón armado: efectos de las condiciones ambientales y carga de fatiga y a largo plazo (LiFeRCon)” of the AMADE research group of the Universitat de Girona.

The overall goal of the PhD thesis is the study of the combined effect of sustained loading and service temperatures on the bond behaviour of NSM CFRP-concrete joints. The thesis contributes to understand how RC structures strengthened with FRP materials can be affected by service conditions.
