RESEARCH

AMADE is one of the leading research groups in composite materials in Europe. Research works in AMADE are developed under a clear motivation: give an answer to the current industry needs. The main research lines of the group are:

  • Experimental understanding of damage and failure of composite materials under static and fatigue loading.
  • Progressive damage modeling of composites: delamination under mixed mode and fatigue loading, bonded joints failure, intra-ply damage, low-velocity impact, etc.
  • Composites with non-conventional ply sequences and hybrid composites.
  • Reinforcing and strengthening of concrete structures with fibre reinforced polymers.
