27 Ene Edwin Meulman at the International Congress of Adhesion & Adhesives
The PhD student, Edwin Meulman, has given an oral presentation at the International Congress of Adhesion & Adhesives: https://congresoadhesivos.com/en/. The Congress has been conducted online on November 16-17, 2021.
The title of the presentation of Edwin Meulman is: “Design of a low friction roller wedge driven quasi-static test”. A new simplified test method is presented to determine the mode I fracture toughness of bonded joints. A roller wedge is used to propagate a crack in the adhesive of the bonded joint. Since a low force is required to do so this test can be performed without a test machine.
Dr. Jordi Renart, researcher of the AMADE group, is the advisor of the doctoral thesis of Edwin Meulman, beneficiary of a IFUdG2021 grant within the Programme of grants for researchers in training of the University of Girona (2019-2021). The IFUdG grants have the collaboration of Banco Santander to promote the internationalisation of the University.
