New Scientific Publication in Composite Structures

A new paper titled “Genetic algorithm-based optimization for deriving traction-separation laws of CFRPs translaminar fracture at high strain rate”has been published in the journal Composite Structures, focusing on the translaminar fracture toughness of composite laminates and its sensitivity to different loading velocities.

The research was led by doctoral candidate Adrián Cimadevilla Diez (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid), whose PhD is co-supervised by Pere Maimí (AMADE–University of Girona). Adrián played a key role as a researcher within the European project BEDYN (Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking), now completed.

Researchers from AMADE–University of Girona also contributed as co-authors, including Pere Maimí and Emilio Vicente González.

This work represents a collaborative effort between institutions and highlights the contributions of AMADE researchers to advanced studies in composite materials within European research frameworks.
