07 Oct A New FRP++ Cohort Begins at the University of Girona
The University of Girona (UdG) has welcomed the students of the new edition of the FRP++ European Master in Advanced Structural Analysis and Design using Composite Materials, one of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programmes specialising in advanced composite materials.
This academic year, 15 international students will complete the first semester of the programme at the University of Girona, where they have now started classes at Campus Montilivi. During the coming months, they will receive advanced training in composite materials, structural analysis and design while taking part in laboratory activities and working alongside researchers from AMADE (Analysis and Advanced Materials for Structural Design).
The FRP++ Master’s programme is delivered by a consortium of five leading European universities:
- University of Minho (Portugal) – Programme Coordinator
- University of Girona (Spain)
- University of Naples Federico II (Italy)
- INSA Toulouse (France)
- University of Toulouse (France)
At the University of Girona, the FRP++ Master’s porgramme is coordinates by Dr Cristina Barris, who oversees the academic development of the programme at UdG and supports students throughout their studies in Girona.
Through this international collaboration, the programme provides multidisciplinary education combining academic excellence, research and industrial relevance. Students benefit from the expertise of the partner institutions while gaining advanced knowledge in structural analysis, composite materials, numerical modelling, design, manufacturing processes and sustainability.
The arrival of the new cohort reinforces the international character of both the University of Girona and AMADE, bringing together students from different countries and academic backgrounds to develop the next generation of engineers and researchers in advanced composite materials.
